About Us

David Perino has been involved in the exploration of mesquite for 30 years. His father planted the seed of interest and curiosity regarding the potential commercial applications using mesquite.

While David was raising $2000 for the purchase of his first sawmill, a local rancher spent $20,000 for a fuel truck to aid in the burning of bulldozed mesquite. The ironic inequity of that moment catalyzed his desire to make a difference in the future of mesquite. He realizes this issue is global, with parallels in many other environments. David's goal is to stimulate awareness of the need to manage and preserve this valuable resource and then to generate the mechanism to promote action.

David brings to the company a strong commitment to the preservation of mesquite as a valuable resource, a working knowledge of the commercial applications of mesquite and a capacity to design and manufacture mesquite products with a sensitivity to the nature of the raw material.

Kathryn Ehrhorn has spent most of her life living and traveling around the world. With a passion to see human potential extracted from theory into reality, she has sought and explored systems and programs from health and healing to music and film making that demonstrate the interconnected cycles of life.

Believing that balance on earth can be achieved through simple changes in outlook combined with attitudes based in a deep respect for all parts of the whole, Kathryn finds the mesquite program intriguing and vitally important to the bigger picture. She sees that through turning worldwide mesquite "infestation problems" into commercially viable mesquite programs, an example in successful living can be demonstrated and transferred to other parts of the human experience and related outcome.
